Square, acetate, and easy to live with: the 0868 Kingsman Square Opticals are the sort of frame you stop noticing after a week, in the best possible sense. The level brow and squared corners give the face definition, which is especially useful if your features are soft or rounded.

Four colourways run from plain to quietly interesting. Black is the default. Dark Turtle brings a warm, mottled tortoiseshell. Smoke Quartz is translucent and faintly grey. Olive is the smallest departure from convention, and probably the most wearable of the lot.

The proportions are moderate rather than oversized, a square that reads as considered rather than architectural. That makes it a sound choice across most adult face widths, and a sensible one if your glasses have to work at a desk all day.
