Of everything in this range, the 1398 is the boldest. A square sunglass in acetate, made in one colourway only - Brush Stroke, a painterly finish with irregular movement running through it, so no two frames sit exactly the same.
The lens width is 58mm: that is the measurement across a single lens, and it is a big one. Combined with the square front, it gives coverage and a heavy, architectural line across the face. This is not a subtle frame and it is not trying to be.
It suits wider and larger faces most naturally, and it rewards anyone who wants a sunglass that behaves like a statement. If you are in doubt about the scale, size down elsewhere in the range - but if you want presence, this is it.
