The shape underneath is a well-judged cat eye, upswept at the outer corners without tipping into costume. Its lens width is 51mm, which is how far each lens spans horizontally. A mid-range measurement, it makes the 1401 broadly wearable and a safe bet if you sit somewhere in the middle on frame size.
