Cutler and Gross 1413 Rectangle Opticals

Rectangles are the workhorses of optical eyewear, and the 1413 is a particularly well-drawn one: horizontal, level, and handcrafted in acetate.

Its lens width is 53mm, the span of each lens measured across. That is a medium-to-large reading, and it is what gives the rectangle its stretched, architectural proportion. It suits average and wider faces, and anyone who wants a frame that visually lengthens the eye line.

Three colourways are offered. Black on Green is a layered combination that only reveals itself in the right light, Dark Turtle is the mottled classic, and Olive is a softer, more muted option.
