Cutler and Gross 9261 Cat Eye Opticals

The optical 9261 gives you the cat eye every day, not just in the sun. Handcrafted in acetate, it comes in a single colourway - Obsidian - and the darkness of the frame is what keeps the shape wearable rather than costume.

Cat eye works because of the angle at the outer corners: enough lift to change the geometry of the face, not so much that the frame starts performing. Cutler and Gross judges it carefully here.

Lens width is 48mm, meaning each lens measures 48mm across. That is a small, close cat eye - a compact proportion that stays neat on the face. It is the right size for narrower and smaller faces, and for anyone who wants the shape without the scale.
