Cutler and Gross 9495 Rectangle Sunglasses

Rectangle. Black. Done. The 9495 is the least complicated sunglass Cutler and Gross makes and it is all the better for it - a straight-sided acetate front in a single colourway, Black, with nothing else asked of it.

The lenses are 53mm wide. Lens width is measured across one lens, and at 53mm this is a comfortable, honestly middle-sized rectangle. It works on medium faces without adjustment, and it flatters rounder faces by introducing straight lines where there were none.

Acetate carries a rectangle better than most materials: it holds a crisp edge, and the depth of a good black is something you notice at close range.
