Three colourways, one strong square. The 9690 Square Sunglasses are offered in Black, in the mottled warmth of Dark Turtle, and in the oddly named but very wearable Humble Potato, a soft neutral that sits well against most skin tones.
Each lens is 53mm across. That lens width places the 9690 in the middle of the range: substantial enough to read as a proper square frame, restrained enough to suit a broad spread of adult faces rather than only the largest ones.
The acetate is handcrafted, and the geometry does what a good square should. It sharpens soft features, gives the face a clear horizontal line, and stays out of the way of whatever you happen to be wearing.
