Polarisation strips out the glare that bounces off flat surfaces - road, water, snow, bonnet - so what you get is not a darker view but a cleaner one. On an aviator, a shape born out of practical need, that pairing makes obvious sense.

Lens width is 60mm. That is the measurement across one lens, and 60mm is genuinely large: a broad, sweeping teardrop that covers a lot of face and delivers the full aviator effect.
