That is the lens width of the 9782 Aviator Sunglasses - 60mm across each lens - and it makes this one of the boldest shapes you will find: a large acetate aviator with serious coverage, best suited to larger faces, or to anyone confident enough to wear a frame that will certainly be noticed.
Five colourways stretch the idea in different directions. Dark Havana and Black on Horn are the traditionalists of the group. Sand Crystal is pale and translucent. Rouge and Black on Pink are the two with real nerve.
Acetate lends the aviator shape a warmth and a heft that softens what could otherwise read as quite a severe outline, and it carries these colours far better than a plainer finish would.
