Cat eye frames tend to be reserved for sunglasses, which is exactly why the GR05 Cat Eye Opticals are worth a look. The upswept outer corner lifts the eye and gives the whole face a little more animation, and in a prescription frame it is a far more interesting choice than another rectangle.
Acetate, in four colourways. Black on Horn layers dark over a mottled base. Dark Turtle is the classic warm tortoiseshell. Striped Dark Green is deeper and less obvious. Crystal Peach is translucent and soft, and the easiest of the four to wear.
Lens width is 47mm across each lens, which is compact. It suits smaller and narrower faces particularly well, and it keeps the cat eye line looking sharp rather than exaggerated.
