The 2809H-V2 is a limited edition of 500 pieces, and its defining feature is the detachable side shield. The panels at the outer edge of the frame come away, so the same pair reads either as a shielded, closed in sunglass or as a conventional open frame. Made in Japan.
Sizing is 52-22-145, meaning a 52mm lens width, a 22mm bridge and 145mm temples. That is a medium to wide fit suited to average and broader face widths, with a 22mm bridge that sits well on a moderately wide nose bridge.
Six colourways are offered: Brushed Ruthenium with Bordeaux, Antique Gold with Bottle Green, Brushed Silver with Blue, Brushed Gold with Demi, Antique Silver with Smoke, and Antique Gold with Orange. Lenses come in Grey, G-15, Cobalt Blue or Brown.
