Few acetate frames are offered in two eye widths, and the M1035 is one of them. Matsuda cut this optical shape at both 54mm and 51mm, so the same design reads as a generous statement frame or a closer, more contained one depending on which you choose. The Japanese acetate is hand polished to a deep, even surface, with precious metal finishing on the hardware.
Sizing: The numbers 54-20-145 and 51-20-145 mean lens width, bridge width and temple arm length in millimetres. The 20mm bridge is a middle measurement that suits an average nose bridge, neither very narrow nor very broad. The 54mm eye covers medium to wide faces, while the 51mm suits medium and smaller faces. The 145mm temples are a standard adult length.
