Matsuda M3159 Eyeglasses

The M3159 is a mixed material frame: a lightweight titanium chassis with Japanese acetate inserts, finished with hand applied lacquer. That is why every colourway names two tones, one for the metal and one for the acetate and lacquer work. Brushed Gold with Navy, Antique Silver with Matte Bottle Green, Ruthenium with Black, and Antique Gold with Brown are the four on offer. Made in Japan.

It is also the largest frame here. The 55-18-142 size means 55mm across each lens, an 18mm bridge and 142mm temples. A 55mm eye needs a broad face to look balanced, and the narrow 18mm bridge is best on a nose bridge that sits high and well defined, since a low bridge needs a deeper measurement to stay level.
