Matsuda M5008 Eyeglasses

With a clear lens in place, the stained glass lacquering on the M5008 optical has nowhere to hide. The translucent colour worked onto the lightweight titanium becomes the entire visual event of the frame, because rimless construction leaves nothing else to look at. It is a restrained piece from a distance and a detailed one up close.

Sizing: 51-19-145 sets out lens width, bridge width and temple length in millimetres. A 51mm lens is comfortably medium, neither small nor oversized, and the 19mm bridge sits marginally below average, so it suits a moderate or slightly narrow nose bridge. Medium faces are the natural home for this one, with standard 145mm arms.
