Rimless construction means there is nothing surrounding the lens on the M5009: the geometric clear lens is the shape of the frame, mounted directly to the hardware. That puts every joint on show, which is why the metalwork carries a precious metal finish and the temples are cut from aged Japanese acetate. Made in Japan.
Sizing: 52-22-145 means a 52mm lens, a 22mm bridge and 145mm temples. The 52mm lens is on the larger side, so the frame suits medium to wide faces, and the 22mm bridge sits well on an average to slightly wider nose bridge. As a rimless frame the visual footprint is lighter than the numbers suggest.
