Eleven colourways is a lot of choice, and the Arthur earns it. The optical version is made in Italian acetate and runs from the sober end of the spectrum, Black, Matte Black, Ink, Charcoal and Dark Grey, through the traditional, Tortoise and Tobacco, to Khaki, Sage, Burgundy and Light Blue for anyone who wants their glasses to say something.
Three lens widths are available: 45mm, 48mm and 51mm, each measured across one lens. The 45mm is a small-to-medium frame for narrower faces. The 48mm is a straightforward medium and the width most people will get on with. The 51mm is medium-to-large and gives broader faces, or progressive-lens wearers who want more depth, the room they need.
Settle the width first, then take your time over the colour.
