ALLEN in Navy is the quiet alternative to a black frame: enough colour to register, never enough to shout. Black and Yale Blue round out the trio, the latter a noticeably brighter take.

This is a NO1 frame, drawn in light stainless steel and stripped of anything that does not hold the lens or reach the ear. The proprietary spiral hinge replaces the screws that eventually work loose on conventional frames, giving the temples spring instead of slack.

Silicone temple tips and nose pads stop the frame migrating down the nose, and temples run to 140 mm, a versatile mid-range length that suits most face widths. Each pair is individually adjustable, so the final fit is set by hand.

Handmade in Berlin and supplied with a branded eyewear case and cleaning cloth.
