ALPINE pairs a Glossy Gold frame with an Orange Flash lens, which is an unapologetically warm combination, and a long way from the black-on-black default most sunglasses settle for.
The frame is circular stainless steel, hung on Mykita's proprietary spiral hinge, finished with a rubber nose pad and made individually adjustable so an optician can set it to your face properly. Handmade in Berlin.
Fit: the temple arms are 125mm, which is genuinely short. That pulls the frame in close to the head and makes it a strong candidate for narrower faces, where a standard 145mm arm tends to leave the frame loose and sliding.
