Look closely at BERTHOLD and you will see two materials doing separate jobs. Acetate rings are fitted inside circular stainless steel rims, which gives the front a coloured inner edge against a metal outer edge. Acetate temple ends carry the same idea back along the arm. It is a LITE SUN frame, so the steel is kept deliberately fine.
The tinted lenses give full UVA and UVB protection and carry an anti-reflective inner coating. A81 Shiny Silver with Black takes a Silver Flash lens; A116 Champagne Gold with Desert Haze pairs with Brown Solid; A70 Black with Taupe runs Darkgrey Solid; A114 Glossygold with Peridot uses a lighter Rawbrown Gradient in category 2.
Temples are 145mm, a touch longer than standard, which eases pressure behind the ear.
